1. Scope and contact
This policy explains how the IXLEAN service processes personal data when you use its membership, guided video, activity calendar, training-plan and AI personal-training features. IXLEAN does not sell personal data.
For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, contact privacy@ixlean.com. General support is available at support@ixlean.com.
2. Data we process
- Account and membership: name, email address, sign-in identifiers, subscription and access status, preferences and service emails.
- Training and health-related data: activities you log or import, dates, duration, distance, notes, perceived effort, heart-rate values you choose to provide, injuries or limitations you mention, completed exercises, video progress and training history. If you explicitly ask for nutrition coaching, this can also include dietary preferences, allergies, meals and recipes you ask the coach to save.
- AI personal training: goals, training experience, available days and equipment, plan versions, coach conversations and the limited memories needed to keep guidance consistent.
- Technical and security data: essential cookies, device and browser information, request logs and security events needed to operate and protect the service.
- Payments: Stripe processes payment-card details. IXLEAN receives transaction, product and subscription status, not full card details.
- Communications and leads: support messages and, where you consent, the name, email, campaign and first-party link activity associated with a free-session request or marketing email.
3. Why we use it
We process account, membership, playback, training-plan and activity data to provide the service you request and administer your contract. We use security logs and limited operational analytics to protect and improve the service. Payment and accounting records are processed to meet legal obligations. Optional marketing is based on consent and can be stopped at any time.
Training information may reveal health-related details. IXLEAN uses that information for personal training only after explicit consent. You can withdraw AI processing consent in your account settings; doing so pauses AI features without turning a paid membership into marketing consent.
When you deliberately choose Share on a completed activity, IXLEAN creates an unguessable public link showing that activity's name, date and available workout statistics. It does not include your account name, email, private coach conversation or training plan. Anyone who receives the link can open it. Deleting the underlying activity or your account disables the link.
4. AI processing with Anthropic
IXLEAN currently uses Anthropic's commercial API to generate personal-training responses, plans and recaps. The relevant message, training context and limited account context are sent to Anthropic only when needed for that feature. You are interacting with an AI system, not a doctor or human personal trainer, and its output can be wrong.
Anthropic states that commercial API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default. Anthropic also states that API inputs and outputs are normally deleted from its backend within 30 days, with exceptions where different terms apply, longer retention is needed to enforce its usage policy, or the law requires it. Do not use product feedback mechanisms to send sensitive information.
Anthropic may process data in the United States. International transfers are covered by the contractual and legal safeguards used by IXLEAN and its processors, including applicable standard contractual clauses or other valid transfer mechanisms.
5. Other processors
IXLEAN uses service providers to run the product, including AutoCreator for the tenant membership and administration platform, Supabase for database and authentication infrastructure, Bunny.net for video delivery, Vercel for application hosting, Stripe for payments and Resend for email delivery. Each receives only the data needed for its role. Providers may process data outside the EEA subject to appropriate transfer safeguards.
6. Cookies and marketing measurement
Essential cookies keep sign-in, security and preferences working. Optional advertising or analytics technologies are used only under the consent settings shown to you. Declining optional tracking does not prevent use of the core service. IXLEAN never sends training, health or coach-conversation data to advertising platforms.
If you request a free session through IXLEAN or a Meta lead form, IXLEAN uses the details and consent supplied with that request to deliver the session and the agreed follow-up. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe option. Lead data that does not become an active customer record is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed, normally within 12 months of the last relevant activity.
7. Retention and deletion
Account and training data is retained while the account or membership is active and as needed to deliver the service. You can download the account data made available in Settings and request closure or erasure. Limited payment, tax, fraud-prevention, consent and dispute records may be kept where the law requires or permits it. Backups and processor retention schedules may take additional time to expire after a deletion request.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to or erase personal data, withdraw consent and complain to a data-protection authority. In Norway, the supervisory authority is Datatilsynet. Contact privacy@ixlean.com to exercise a right.
9. Age and safety
IXLEAN is intended for people aged 16 or older. Training guidance is not medical advice. Consult a qualified health professional before training with an injury, illness or medical condition.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated as the service or its providers change. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate.
